Restaurant Review: Trifecta Ultra Lounge and Sports Bar

This is a Sports Bar with about 50 Televisions and one of the largest big screen televisions I've ever seen, about 20 feet across.

It also hosts a separate pool room, with a single pool table. Trifecta was designed to be a lavish upscale sports bar for the elite loft crowd of Los Angeles and to that extent suceeded, although the restaurant did not catch on, due mainly to a single menu item, a $15 Hot Dog, which became the poster child of excessiveness. It went out of busines within 6 months of opening and now has reopened in late 2007 with an honest to goodness sports bar menu, entries under $10. They finally got it.

The food is good, but not exciting and if you want to enjoy your favorite game with a drink, this is downtown's only decent sports bar. The Kobe Burger is one of our favorites. Parking can be a problem, but at least at night, there seems to be ample street parking.
