On Saturday April 26th, the 24th Street Theatre at 24th and Hoover will be celebrating the completion of their Prop K renovation.

Our own local live theatre, which has been open only sporadically because of renovations except for their childrens programs, is marking its official reopening April 26. They have built new lobby walls which reduce street noise in the theatre, a 10ft x 8ft. scenic loading door, new retractable skylight covers which allow natural sunlight for daytime events, 2 new bathrooms, a new dressing room, and the new Lori Martin Costume Shop. They say "We will be celebrating this event with invited guests such as City Councilman Ed Reyes, who will make a presentation. Guests will see an outreach production, Operation Graduation, from our After Cool club featuring 40 neighborhood kids from the USC Family of Five Schools." 1117 West 24th St. (at 24th & Hoover) theatre@24thstreet.org 213.745.6516 www.24thstreet.org
